This is another case of the initial contributor misinterpreting the ‘code’, in another site, for the constructor. This is NOT Schwartzkopff but Schneider (Le Creusot). The locomotive was one of five built for the Northern Railway (Norte) and all given names, this example later named TARRACO, was originally their No. 1602 ‘EL TERA’. It now belongs to RENFE (since 1941) as No. 030-0204 ad is restored in Apple green livery.

I photographed this loco in August 1998 when it was on a plinth outside Barcelona station. I have no further details, but if you want a copy of my photo let me know. Regards. Terry
