This locomotive, for the first 7 years of it’s life ran for the Almansa, Valencia and Tarragona Railway as their No. 108, only running for, and becoming Norte No. 2708 in 1891. It became a RENFE locomotive in 1941.

This locomotive has been mis identified as it is not a former MZA loco but is an ex Norte loco which I have recorded as 040-2169 built by Hartmann 1360 of 1884.

Situated within Pargue Botanical Betty Molesworth, located on grassland between the eastern ends of Calle las Rosas and Arrabal Este (C440a) before junctions with Calle Las Chumberas at east end of Los Barrios town, close to Jct. 10B A7/A381. followed closely by Jct. 87 A381/C440a.

This engine is famous for being in the famous Westerns by Sergio Leone, being featured in films like The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly and Once Upon a Time In The West. It was in other films using Spanish steam too.
