The locomotive was indeed delivered new to the Heersfeldbahn Depot 1; Brigade Berlin as No. 498 and subsequently was employed by Sena Sugar Estates as Marromeu No. 2, Mozambique. In 1998 it was bought privately by a buyer in Warwickshire, England to be sold again in 2005 and exported to the Sandstone Heritage Trust, South Africa.

One of many survivors of the Great War, this Feldbahn, Field Railway loco from the trench warfare of 1914 to 1918 found peacetime work on the Sena Sugar Estates in Mozambique as their No 2. It is restored to its original condition.
