This was originally No, HF1415 that in 1919 went to the SHS (fore-runner of the JŽ) which became, from 1933, No. 99.4-084 for that company and was stored in Vrdnik depot, Belgrade before being displayed outside the then Belgrade Railway Museum.

An ex German Army Feldbahn loco from World War 1. Around 2500 of these standard military railway locos were built by 1919. Because of their work near the front line, where there would be ammunition in large quantities, there is a spark arresting smokeststack. The 0-8-0 wheel arrangement may look a little too long a rigid wheelbase, but they featured the Klein-Lindner system on the leading and trailing axles which allowed a degree of flexibility. To understand this, consider these figures: the overall wheelbase is 2260mm, but the rigid wheelbase is only 790mm
