The locomotive was delivered to Ostrów Wielkopolski, then posted to Piotrków Trybunalski. A decade later it was back at its original depot followed, in 1966, by Poznan Glówny Osobowa. It was withdrawn from service in 1988 but re-instated a year later, repaired and instead of being sold, as intended, went to Wolsztyn in 1990. Between 2001 and 2009 it went back and forth to both ZNTK Gneizno (before closure) and parent depot, Leszno for repairs and, in 2012, was taken to Chabówka and was not returned to Wolsztyn until 2013 following repairs. It is now an active member of the fleet at PKP Cargo, ul. Fabryczna 1, 64-200 Wolsztyn, Greater Poland
