Ol49-72 went to Katowice at the beginning of 1958 though it probably worked elsewhere after being delivered from the factory. It was only based in Przeworsk after 1960, from where it was also withdrawn in 1987 and moved, in 1992, for display to the grounds of PKP Cargo Lokomotywownia, outside the administrative offices, 33-100 Tarnów, Lesser Poland.
