DRB in note of ‘Silvester’ of 2020, should please be replaced by DRG, in both this and the file title - apologies my typo!

Probably one of the oldest steam locomotives on the main-line in Europe, this was delivered to the KPEV as Elberfeld 5562, before being ceded to the DRB in 1925 as No. 58 1297. It survived WWII and joined the PKP at Poznan Glówny Towarowa, presumably as No. TY1-76 during the Summer of 1946 and, after essential repairs, went to Jarocin in 1951 followed by Zbaszynek in 1953, and Gniezno in 1955. It was withdrawn from here in 1969 and, following a long-term stay in a Reserve, possibly at Wagrowiec, it was transported from Gniezno to Wolsztyn, renovated and placed on display outside the PKP (now Cargo) depot, ul. Fabryczna 1, 64-200 Wolsztyn, Greater Poland
