BMAG 12499/1943 was delivered to the DRB as No. 52 6058 until 1946 then spent around a year in SBZ Military Administration until being sequestrated by the USSR for work with the SZD as TE-6058. It was reported as going to the PKP in 1962 as Ty2-1286 and was withdrawn from Elk, Poland in 1992.

In 1984, the steam locomotive was adapted to experimental gas-generator combustion and was equipped with a stoker. After ceasing the tests, the mechanical feeder remained on the locomotive. It is the first of only two locomotives of the Ty2 series (next to No. Ty2-953) equipped with a stoker.
