GKW stands for the Upper Silesian Narrow Gauge Railway, whose depot is at the former PKP depot in Bytom Karb, Reja - Parowozownia, 41-902 Bytom, Poland.

This locomotive joined the PKP early in 1955 at Bytom Karb and worked through here until being withdrawn in 1988. It was moved, in 1991, to Rudy Raciborskie and, in 2004, taken to the Stanica Station and, in 2008 was exported to the Czech Republic only to be returned to Rudy Raciborskie just over a year later. In 2020 it was returned from here to Bytom Karb depot where it is now on display.
