The loco has had its side tanks removed along with the smoke deflectors. An unlikely looking chimney has been added as well as a Polish interpretation of a "Western" headlamp and the inevitable cow catcher. The bunker sides bear the legend "Rio Grande"! The Rio Grande should have been flattered, or perhaps not!

Dale W Fickés reports:

TKt48-163 was delivered to Rybnik and moved around Southern Poland before arriving at Kepno and from where it was withdrawn in 1998. Two years later it was taken to Gniezno and, in 2008, to Osielsko near Bydgoszcz. It now resides, vaguely and disgustingly disguised as aa early American steam locomotive outside Hotel Western, Szosa Gdanska 46 (off the N5 road), 46, 86-031 Niwy, Kuyavia-Pomerania
