There is a huge mystery surrounding the individual whom restored this locomotive. Granger Taylor was a very eccentric man whom loved to tinker with and restore old machines. He did however, begin to behave strangely saying he was making contact with aliens and trying to learn how their spacecrafts worked. He dissapeared one night never to be seen or heard from again saying he was going to meet the alien in person. Nobody knows what happened to him, but there are theories as to what happened.

The trucks are from a log car and only the rear one is powered. One cylinder and the drive train were fabricated after the remains were salvaged from the brush.

Good morning.  I have been trying to find information on the Shawnigan Lake Lumber Co. dated 1928 or earliest beginning of this Mill.  Would you have any archives on this company?  I own the house that Mr. Munsie built using the lumber from his mill and I am very interested on the history of  both the mill, the family, and the history surrounding both.

Regards,
