This engine is indeed not a Huntington & Broad Top Railroad engine. It is in fact a Dunquese Slag engine, and may have originally been a tank engine. It was in fact the first engine that Sloan Cornell ever bought. He was the founder of the Penn View Mountain Railroad, as well as the Gettysburg Railroad. This engine was a purchase for what was supposed to be a circle track around a pond on the dairy farm for his kids.

Is there a historian who has information for the Huntington & Broad Top Mountain Railroad personnel?  I am attempting to trace my great-grandfather David P. Osborne, nicknamed "Porter" who lived in the Wells Valley, Fulton County (PA). The geographical location would be compatable, time frame would be 1860 to 1890. The nickname suggests railroads.  Thank you to anyone who may have informations for me.

I heard from several sources that this locomotive is not an original H&BT engine and that it is an 0-4-0T with its tank removed.  I could be wrong though.
