#400 has been under a rebuild at the Texas State Railroad and was just test fired a few weeks ago. Apperently she is being renumbered to #7 and will have her headlight on the smokebox and the bell above the smokebox.

400 is ex tremont and gulf 30/magma 7  she wears the bell from magma 6 still in az,  the bells were moved to the front of the firebox, due to sp influence in the style,

Currently the 400 is awaiting some major work once the 500 and the 201 are out of the way. Money is apparently very tight on the TX State.

This locomotive WAS MOST CERTAINLY Tremont & Gulf No.30. T&G sold her to Magma Arizona and Texas State picked her up there in the early 70s.

The Locomotive was the # 7 on the Magma Arizona, and was used in the movie "How the West Was Won"

The ownership history for this locomotive is obvious nonsense. I don't know where it came from, but will try to correct it shortly.
