This would better be described as LKM Babelsberg No. 146629/1957, rather than Karl Marx FC for reasons previously listed elsewhere. The locomotive was delivered from the factory in Potsdam,outside Berlin to VEB Farbenfabrik Wolfen bei Bitterfeld as their No. 9 in January 1958. Following a visit to RAW Leipzig-Engelsdorf in 1961, it went to VEB Elektrochemisches Kombinat Bitterfeld, Golpa-Nord as “FERROPOLIS 15” but was again at Engelsdorf in both 1983 and 1986, and RAW Meiningen in 1987, whereupon in 1993, it was plinthed at the Technical Museum, Speyer.
