After a lengthy boiler inspection, the locomotive has been ready for use again since the end of April 2022. On June 11, 2023, the locomotive (signed as "94 1346") was used for several shuttle trips between Vacha and Unterbreizbach. In July 2023 the locomotive was in the former Arnstadt depot.

Originally KPEV as Essen (Ruhr) No. 8763 becoming, 19251937 DRG No. 94 1538, then the original DRB 1937-1945 and the following SBZ Military Administration 1944-1949 in that identity, continuing with the emerging DB also in that identity, later as No. 094 538 until withdrawal in 1972, when it was then placed on display at Bf Gönnern in it’s original identity until 1997 whence it went to Eifelbahn Gerolstein. It received a new boiler, No. 1516, at Meiningen in 1998 before going to Ilmenau, and in 2006 went to Railway Tourism, Krefeld where it still was in 2009 in it’s original DRG identity.
