This originally was Saargruben AG, Coking Plant Redem No. 36 which retired in 1970. It was eventually ‘saved’, in 1980 by HE. Frankfurt-am-Main and given the fictional identity of No. 81 1001. It later moved, around 2002, to MECL Losheim.-am-See where it (maybe remnants ?) remains ? the location being:- Museums-Eisenbahn-Club Losheim am See, Streifstr.3 66679 Losheim am See, Saarland, Germany. www.museumsbahn-Losheim.de. Whilst this locomotive does not appear on it’s website (a contemporary No. 34, now named “Losheim”, bought in 1983 from the same original company, but Henschel 29892/1948) does, was No. 36 used for spares ?

The builder, if correct, could be Krauss-Maffei though ‘classmate’ No. 81.004 was actually Hannomag 10558 of 1928.
