Although I have no records of the original KPEV number, which it may have been allocated prior to 1924 (KPEV No. 6011 Rbd Halle belonged to what later became DRG No. 57 3088); this locomotive entered DRG service as No. 33 2327, later, probably when the Reichsbahn re-designated the DRG the DRB from 1937 it became No. 57 3297 (equally I have no record of it ever being No. 57 297). It ‘travelled’ through the SBZ Military Administration after WW2 in the same identity until 1949 when it joined the newly created DR, again as No. 57 3297, also when joining firstly the VM, Dresden, later at Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf.

Ex Prussian Railways (KPEV)G10 0-10-0 no.6011, DR No. 57.3297 while stored at Greiz depot on 10 October 1993. Before WW2 a large number of these locos were purchased new by Romanian Railways. These were built both in Germany and Romania and many remain intact in that country. Turkish Railways also purchased a number.
