Delivered to DRB - Deutsche Reichsbahn as No. 52 2649 that joined the DR - Deutsche Reichsbahn after WW2 in the same identity. It was called into Raw Stendal in 1963 for reconstruction with a combustion chamber boiler (SKL Magdeburg 31440/1963), mixing preheater type IfS/DR and axle bearing adjusting wedges, emerging as No. 52 8089 that in 1970 with computerisation became No. 52 8089-6 and ran until 1988 when it was then called into Raw Meiningen for conversion into a non-drivable heating locomotive (NHL), as part of an L6/K7 investigation for work at Bw Wustermark in the same identity, being withdrawn at the end of 1991, though not officially until 1993 when it went, at the end of that year, to Bernd Falz Collection, Steam Locomotive Museum Falkenberg where it remains.
