Chronically, this was delevered to the then DRB at Brandenburg West in August 1941 as their No. 50 1286 from the then named MBA (the identity kept until DDR administration in 1945 whence it became known as LKM) factory at Potsdam-Babelsberg, having lost its O&K original identity since the then government had forced the sale of company shares in 1935, It was stored by the SBZ military administration in November 1945, re-appearing with the emerging DR during 1949 in the same identity, running in the same identity until February 1958 when called to Raw Stendal (rather than LKM as previously reported) to become a Rekolok as No. 50 3517, in 1970 to be suffixed 5. It worked until May 1987 but was not actually withdrawn until May 1991.It was saved from the scrapyard in June 1993 by a Klaus-Peter Müller and early in the 21st century went to Bernd Falz in Falkenberg.

The locomotive was built under the MBA, Babelsberg banner - the then German government having dispensed with the name O & K earlier that year.

Originally delivered by O&K to DRG as No. 50 1286, through to DR in 1949. It was made a Rekolok in early 1958 at LKM, emerging as DR No. 50 3517-5 with their build number of No. 151017/1958 in addition to it’s original O&K 13548/1941 identity, which perhaps also now needs to be recorded?
