Delivery in 06/1942 to DRB - Deutsche Reichsbahn as No. 50 2226 ÜK that survived WW2 to join the DR - Deutsche Reichsbahn [in the same identity. It was called to Aw Stendal in 09/1958 for reconstruction, emerging as No. 50 3540 that, in 1970 became No. 50 3540-7 upon computerisation, it being withdrawn from traffic in 1988. In 1989 it went to Aw Meiningen into a steam dispenser for Bw Dresden Hbf from 01/1990. In 12/1992 it went to the DDMM - German Steam Locomotive and Model Railway Museum, Tuttlingen, Germany as No. 50 3540.
