Originally Sophia-Jacoba Mine No. VIII of Heinsberg, Köln that worked here until 1965. From 1968 it was in a playground at Herzogenrath as Gewerkschaft Sophia-Jacoba 8 and only went to the Feld and Werkbahnmuseum Oekoven as No. 5 in 1984. By 1992 it was at the BFBM, Oehrenstock, Ilmenau later going to the MaLoWa, Benndorf. It then went via the FFM into the private ownership of Rolf Jirowitz, Bad Brückenau.
