Delivered to the then DRB in the second year of WW2 as No. 44 594, it progressed into the emerging DB during 1949 in the same identity, becoming No. 044 594-0 upon computerisation and worked until late 1975. It is coal fired. It was first preserved by FdE, Hamburg in its original identity and was last reported to be kept at Bw Salzwedel.
