This locomotive initially went through intermediary Metalexport, Warszawa to Bau-Union, Berlin as No. 300-70-44; then the Trümmerbahn, Berlin followed by a brickworks in the then Karl-Marx-Stadt (Chemnitz), followed by work in Crimmitschau, north of Zwickau. In 1979 it was taken back to Magistrat, north Berlin as No. 44, subsequently going the short distance to Wulheide as No. 44, subsequently becoming No. 1 and named “Klaus”.
