Although generally known to be one of the first Rekoloks, I omitted to say that the locomotive was fitted with boiler No. 51/1959 from Raw Halberstadt at Raw Karl-Marx-Stadt (now Chemnitz) during that year, hence the addition of a 1 in its serial number.

This is the first Standard Gauge tender-locomotive built by O&K, and delivered to the DRG as No. 41 185 in June 1939 to survive WW2 into preservation. In November it was stored by the military SBZ and in 1949 went to the new DR in its original identity, subsequently becoming No. 41 1185-2. It joined DB AG in January 1992 and now has an official running number of 088 415, though first preserved as its last non computerised identity by the ETB at Staßfurt. It is actually owned by the National Railway Museum in Nürnberg though probably kept in an out-base of Halle.
