Delivery to, and acceptance by DRG - Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft as No.01 158 in 11/1935 the company becoming, from 02/1937, DRB - Deutsche Reichsbahn. It was shutdown for a month after a accident in 12/1940 and following WW2 it joined the newly created DR Deutsche Reichsbahn. It was recostructed wilh a new boiler No. 297/1964 from Raw Halberstadt in that year, emerging from Raw Meiningen as No. 01 531. It was computerised in 06/1970 as No. 01 O531-2 and continued working until being withdrawn in 02/1983. The following year it again emerged from Raw Meiningen, on this occasion as No. 01 1531-1, again rebuilt now as a Tradionalslok and in 1992 was given, by the suceeding DB, the NVR identity of No. 088 015-3, and based at Arnstadt since at least 2000.
