Delivered to the DRG in 1926 as No 01 008, and whilst not the lowest numbered preserved Class 01 Pacific, it was in fact delivered prior to No. 01 005, and was in active service several years longer; later prior to WW2 the DRB. In the same identity it was ceded to the West German DB in 1949 with the same identity, later and was later given a EDP of No. 0O1-008-2, being withdrawn from active service in December 1973. The following year it was snapped up by the DGEG at Bochum-Dahlhausen.
