As off July 6, 2010 I heard there are no current plans known of by the docents at Chama to restore #483. The status should be display. Sadly 483 is in a sad state. She might be restored in the future though.

What I heard was 483 is to be restored after 497 is completed (which is after 463).

This locomotive was the first locomotive on the newly formed C&TS in 1970.  It ran until 1978 when a crownsheet problem sidelined it.  Currently it is on display in the Chama yard.  It may soon be restored when funds are avaliable.
