Western Australian Government Railway 218 was offically withdrawn in July 1961 and had travelled over 750,000 miles. It then worked as a mobile steam cleaner at Northam. In 1971 went to Bassendean railway museum. In April 2015 it was transported to Walkaway, just south of Geraldton on a 5 year loan to Walkaway Station Museum. 218 was not a Midland loco but worked in the Geraldton region for many years
