In 2006 this locomotive looked very sorry for itself - badly weathered and without its tender. The information stated that it has a Baldwin boiler rather than the original Brooks.

the Pacific & Arctic Railway & Navigation Co. was the company that owned the WP&YR. They had river boats and other investments in the north but the railway it ran on was WP&Y.

The "Alco-Brooks Construction Number List" indicates that Construction Number 494, Road Number 23 was shipped to the "Utah & Northern Railway" with 41" Drivers. The Cylinders were 14"x18". The shipment date was not listed. Also, the Utah & Norhern Railway received a total of 22 units from Brooks during this time period. All were of the same configuration, with the possible exception of five, whose Driver sizes were not listed. They are as follows: Construction Numbers 504, 505, 514, 515 & 520 ; Road Numbers 25, 26, 27, 28 & 29.

No. 51 was a White Pass & Yukon Route locomotive It's located at the MacBride Museum it's a twin to #52 in Skagway
