CN Engine 6043 ran the last regularly scheduled steam operation on CN on April 25, 1960, bringing train no. 76 to Winnipeg from The Pas.

It was used on a special excursion to Brandon, Manitoba on June 22, 1961, and this was the last time 6043 operated.
