The park has been renamed Rotary Heritage Park. The Transcona Museum acquired the engine in 2015 and started preservation work on the engine. In 2022, The Transcona Museum started construction on a protective enclosure over the engine, and the structure will be completed in 2023.

A sister N-5 to 2747, 2727, was lost in a rockslide in January of 1934 into Kamloops Lake, BC and needs to be added to the database.

Locomotives 2747 and 2748 were built in 1926 as the sole CNR class N-5-C locomotives.
