Now fully converted to oil firing which its fuel status should now say oil, the ex United States Army Transportation Corps S160 2-8-0 No. 2253 "OMAHA", has been connected back up to its newly converted tender ready for steam testing on its new fuel and ready for the 2026 running season at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

With Days out with Thomas the Tank Engine events no longer taking place at the Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway for now, the ex NCB Twechar Colliery, Neilson Reid & Co. 1902 built 0-6-0T (Works No. 5710) No. 1 "Lord Roberts", has been repainted into Caledonian Railway Blue livery for the first time in preservation and will be made available for more use at Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway and possibly the heritage railway circuit as well.

The rebuilt GWR 2-6-0 No. 9351 (Large Prairie 2-6-2T No. 5193), has been repainted into BR Lined Black livery for the very first time ever and is set to make its debut in its new livery for the 2026 season at the West Somerset Railway.

This locomotive was scrapped many years ago - see earlier note. C50-123 can be seen on this site, with a photo. The previous note seems to have confused it with this long lost engine. I hope this clarifies the situation.

The locomotive that is preserved in the park is not a C51 but is in actuality a C50, C50 123 to be exact. This locomotive is a 2-6-0 that was built by Hitachi (Works No. 400 of May 1930) and retired in 1970. It has been on display in the park since 1971, and is currently displayed under a roof. Overall condition is good

Now located at its new home the the Whitwell & Reepham Railway at Reepham in Norfolk, restoration work on former CEGB, Heysham, Andrew Barclay built Fireless 0-6-0F (Works No. 1572) No. 1 "Lancaster", is now underway there.

The 1907 Cockerill built 0-4-0VBT IV Type tram engine Works No. 2525, is now located at its owners workshop at M Mayes ex railway yard at Yaxham in Norfolk, for overhaul.

The ex South Scotland Electricity Board Andrew Barclay built 0-4-0ST Works No. 2315 "Lady Ingrid", has been moved to Williton works on the West Somerset Railway at Williton in Somerset for some repair work to be carried out.

Map location of both 3002 & 3003 is incorrect, both locomotives are located about 200 feet west of Highway 800 and Water Works Road.

Looks like in the provided picture, the leading truck seems to be missing or its more underneath. Without it, it could be a 0-10-2.

MEF is the Mogiana EF, aka Companhia Mogiana de Estredas de Ferro. 1,214 route miles. Existed from 1872-1971. Sao Paulo to Campinas route. Operated in Sao Paulo and Minas Gerais states. Absorbed Cia Ramal Ferro do Rio Pardo in 1888 and Cia Agricola Santos Dumont 1890. Mostly metre gauge and partly 600mm. Mainly used for shipping coffee. Controlled by the government of Sao Paulo from 1952. Took over Sao Paulo and Minas Railway from 1967. In 1971 Cia Mogiana, Cia Paulista EF, EF Sorocabana, EF Araraquara and subsidiaries became FEPASA: Ferrovia Paulista SA.

68 was the original Mogiana No, not 68. Renumbered 408 from 1915. Renumbered 405 in the 1930s Mogiana renumbering. Restored as 405.

The Northampton & Lamport Railway has started an appeal to buy ex Stewarts & Lloyds, Corby, Hawthorn Leslie built 0-6-0ST (Works No. 3837) No. 16, from its current owner and take it into their ownership. The locomotive will a fitting addition to them, having spent all its working life in Northamptonshire. The railway needs to raise £9,000 to buy the locomotive, and details of the appeal can be found on their website and social media pages.
