The ex Cameroon Development Corporation Hunslet built 0-4-2PT (Works No. 3756) No. 1 "Tamar", has since relocated back to the Statfold Barn Railway at Tamworth in Staffordshire, where it is now in the final stages of overhaul and has been converted to oil-firing.

The Alan Keef Ltd. owned 1990 built De Winton 0-4-0VBT Works No. 30 "Taffy", is visiting the Telford Steam Railway for the first time for their first ever Narrow Gauge Gala on the 7th of June 2026.

The Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway’s 1990 Fairbourne built 15inch gauge American style 2-6-2 No. 24 "Lucy-Lou", is to make a return visit to the 12inch gauge Fairbourne Railway where it was built for the first time in 35 years their Steam and Diesel Gala from the 23rd to 25th of May 2026, where it will operate on a section of duel gauge track during the Gala. After its visit to the Fairbourne Railway, No. 24 will then visit the Perrygrove Railway to star at their American themed "Fifteen Inch Frontier Weekend" on the 30th and 31st of May 2026.

This engine was originally called Gascoyne but was restored as its sister Kimberley, which is also on site but in terrible condition. Still there in 2019

AB No 1754, the original Kimberley, is also at the museum. It has no tank, cabs or motion and is very corroded; It was plinthed outdoors until >2019; It has since been painted black and taken off the plinth. Still there in 2025.

With its overhaul now completed and testing fininshed and now operational, the ex NCB Mountain Ash, Andrew Barclay built 0-6-0ST Works No. 2074 "Llantarnam Abbey", has now left the West Somerset Railway and has relocated back home to the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway at Blaenavon, Monmouthshire in South Wales to enter service there.

Steam tests are now underway on the ex United States Army Transportation Corps S160 2-8-0 No. 2253 "OMAHA", to test out its new oil firing in the coming weeks before entering service again at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway in May of 2026. As for the plans to take it mainline it turned out to be an April fools joke which took out a number of people, including me.

The ex Logan & Hemingway, 1891 Manning Wardle built 0-6-0ST Works No. 1210 "Sir Berkeley", is visiting Beamish Open Air Museum for the Easter Weekend and will be hauling trains at their Rowley Station site then.

Now fully painted into Great Eastern Railway Ultramarine Blue livery, the ex Great Eastern Railway, 1876 built Class 209 (LNER Y5) 0-4-0ST No. 229, is visiting Beamish Open Air Museum for the Easter weekend, where it will be hauling its very first passenger trains in preservation at their Rowley Station site.

Having done ten minutes searching the location is a closed sugar factory on Zongguan Road, Shuishang. About 10 km SW of Chiayi.

The photo clearly shows DT 651 which I saw at Beigang in 2019 but location uncertain as I have also had quoted as Beigang, Temple in Dongshih township.

Locomotive access blocked by work being done on the station on my visit on 10 February 2026. PKP plates appeared to be missing on the cab sides.

The ex Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway A Class 0-6-0 No. 52322, will visit the Northampton & Lamport Railway for their 30th Anniversary Gala over the August Bank Holiday weekend from the 29th to 31st of August 2026. No. 52322 will be the first tender locomotive to operate along the Northampton & Lamport line in preservation and only the 5th former mainline steam locomotive to run on the Northampton & Lamport Railway since it re-opened to the public as a preserved railway in 1996.

Construction of new-build replica GWR Hawksworth County Class 4-6-0 No. 1014 "County of Glamorgan", is making good progress in the loco works at Didcot, as the boiler cladding sheets have been manufactured and test fitted. But will come off as the boiler has to be removed and sent back to Heritage Boiler Steam Services of Liverpool to be tubed and tested. Reassembly will then be speeded up by having cladding sheets and pipework ready to be fitted to the locomotive when the boiler returns.

This year in 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the United States of America, and to mark it the worlds largest operational steam locomotive, Union Pacific Railroad Big Boy 4-8-8-4 No. 4014, is doing an epic series of steam trips from coast to coast as the locomotive is touring from the west to east coast of the USA, starting with a trip to Roseville, California and then to Ogden, Utah during April 2026. No, 4014 will also be making trips to Omaha, Nebraska Chicago, Illinois, Buffalo, New York, Scranton, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania along with some additional display days are anticipated in Altoona, Pennsylvania, St. Louis, Missouri, Kansas CIty, Missouri.

The ex Woolwich Arsenal, Peckett built E Class 0-4-0ST Works No. 1351 "Lion", is visiting the North Tyneside Steam Railway for the first time for their Steam Gala event on the 5th to 7th of June 2026. Its visit will be a home coming as the locomotive had spent most of its later working life around Tyneside as when it finnished working on the Royal Arsenal’s extensive internal railway system in Woolwich, it was sold to Wallsend Slipway and Engineering Company in 1950 and worked on the quayside by the river Tyne until entering preservation at the Chasewater Railway in 1974. This will be the locomotive’s first visit to another railway since returning from overhaul.

The former Krebet Baru Sugar Mill, Orenstein & Koppel built 0-4-4-0T Works No. 3770, is now in Denmark and is now located at the Hedelands Veteranbane (Hedelands Veteran Railway) at Hedehusene.

The chassies of ex War Department (Dub-Dee) Austerity 2-10-0 No. 3672 "Dame Vera Lynn", have now been moved into the main workshops of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway at Grosmont where work on its overhaul and rebuild can now really progress.
