The new-build GWR Saint Class 4-6-0 No. 2999 "Lady of Legend", is to remained at the Bluebell Railway until the Autumn of 2026 to cover a locomotive shortage during the 2026 season.

The overhaul on ex United States Army Transportaion Corps and Southern Railway S100 USA Class 0-6-0T No. 30072, is progressing as and when by its owner Andy Booth, as its bottom end is completed and work is now focusing on the boiler. It is hope that No. 30072 will be in steam again at the end of 2027.

The former Parlakimidi Light Railway (South Eastern Railway), North British built 4-6-2 tender CC Class No. 666, is still located at the late Peter Ramton’s estate at Gorebridge Green Farm in Surry, where it will remain on display following a request by the new owners of the property to retain part of the location’s history and legacy.

BR Standard 2MT 2-6-0 No. 78022, is to make a rare visit away from the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway when it visits the the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway for the first time for their Cotsworld Festival of Steam from the 23rd to 25th of May 2026.

While it was indeed moved to france in 2020 it is however not for display, but for the idea of a future restauration in running condition

The overhaul on ex New South Wales Government Railways 4-6-0 No 3265 "The Hunter", has now been completed and the locomotive is now operational again and has just made a welcome return to traffic at the NSW Rail Museum and is soon to make a welcome return to the mainline network of New South Wales, Australia.

This locomotive was used to convert the #5 locomotive to burn oil instead of coal, so the locomotive has no tender as the old #3 tender was reused for the Vulcan, and the burner was also used in the Vulcan to burn oil

This loco is listed on locomotoravapor as being at Ejea de Los Caballeros OK 1166 is also listed as being there but I can not find any recent evidence for either of them A bit of a mystery

The ex War Department (Dub-Dee) Austerity 2-10-0 No. 90775 "The Royal Norfolk Regiment", has been given a Scottish look that it carried before in preservation in the 1990s again. The locomotive has been given the livery carried by its classmates in British Railways service from 1948 until 1961. During their BR days, WD 2-10-0s in the range Nos. 90750 to 90774 were allocated to Grangemouth and Motherwell sheds in Scotland, with their number and shed plates painted in a ’Scottish blue’. That is the same colour that No. 90775 now displays, with the repainting carried out by two M&GN Society volunteers. It also carries a 65F Grangemouth shed plate, which was loaned to the M&GN Society by the Scottish Railway Preservation Society. 2026 will be the last year of No. 90775 in service at the North Norfolk Railway for some time that it will be in operational, as its boiler ticket is due to expire on 5th September 2026.

The unique ex British Gas Light Co. and Brookfield Foundry, Kerr Stuart & Co built "Witch" Class 0-4-0ST Works No. 4388, is to visit the Severn Valley Railway for the first time for their Summer Gala weekend on the 18th and 19th of July 2026.

The former Swedish State Railways B Class 4-6-0 SJ No. 1313, is to be returned to steam at the East Lancashire Railway as its overhaul will take place when the overhaul on ex United States Army Transportaion Corps and Southern Railway USA Class 0-6-0T No. 30072 is completed. The work on No. 1313 may see cut down in hight and width to see it fit with in the british loading gauge.

In december 2025 the Rhyl Steam Preservation Trust purchased this locomotive. It is now on static display at the Rhyl Miniature Railway in wales.
