The BR built LMS Ivatt Class 2MT 2-6-2T No. 41313, is returning for another visit to mainland UK, where it will be visiting the Mid Hants Railway (the Watercress Line) for their Autumn Steam Gala from the 2nd to 4th of October 2026, which during the Gala it maybe double heading with sister Ivatt Class 2MT 2-6-2T No. 41312 before its withdrawn for overhaul at the end of this year.

The new-build BR1F type tender for the unique sole surviving single chimney fitted BR Standard 9F 2-10-0 No. 92134, has now been completed and will soon be fitted to its new frames soon. The current BR1G type tender that No. 92134 is using is from BR Sandard 5MT 4-6-0 No. 73050 "City of Peterborough", which is currently being overhauled at the Nene Valley Railway and will soon need it back.

The chassis of new-build Great Western Railway 47XX Class 2-8-0 "Night Owl" No. 4709, have been moved into the main workshops at Tyseley Locomotive Works for its construction to step-up. The next stage of its construction will see it become a rolling chassis which will see the wheels from Large Prairie No. 4115 be placed along with other work to be undertaken.

The former NCB Whitwood Colliery, Hudswell Clarke built 0-6-0T Works No. 1864 "Firefly", is said to be located at RMS Locotec at Wolsingham in Durham, where its being overhauled.

The ex London, Brighton & South Coast Railway Terrier 0-6-0T No. 70 "Poplar" (No. 32670 "Bodiam"), is in storage at Rolverdon awaiting work to be done on it since damage to its inside coupling rods and it looks like the locomotive may have to be re-overhauled.

The ex Norwegian State Railways (NSB) NOHAB, built 2-6-0 No. 376 "Norwegian", is currently in storage in the carriage shed at Rovenden on the Kent & East Sussex Railway awaiting its next overhaul which could possibly happen soon as the railway extends to Roberts Bridge in the coming years with the need for more bigger and powerful locomotives needed then.

The overhaul on ex United States Army Transportaion Corps and Southern Railway S100 USA Class 0-6-0T No. 30065 "Maunsell", is now completed and the locomotive is soon ready for testing at the Kent & East Sussex Railway and should be entering service during the summer.

BR Standard 4MT 2-6-4T No. 80064, is being relocated to the East Somerset Railway for them to overhaul the locomotive in their workshops at Cranmore in Somerset.

There are two former stations in this town. One from the Belgrano Railway and one from the Mitre line. This loco is at the Mitre Station The loco located by the map icon is a different one which is at the Belgrano Station.

For the first time since the 5th of December 1968 the Victorian Goldfields Railway’s ex Victorian Railways K Class 2-8-0 No. K160, will be returning to the mainline network of Victoria under the operations of Steamrail Victoria, as the locomotive will undergo a series of mainline test runs.

The overhaul on ex Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway 7F Class 2-8-0 No. 13809, has now started at the Midland Railway - Butterley as work is now underway removing the tubes from the boiler to assess the internal condition of the boiler. Work will begin in the firebox, where the brick arch will be carefully broken up and removed. From there, attention shifts to the smokebox, where dismantling and removing the superheater elements and header, the two main steam pipes, blast pipe, spark arrester, blower pipe, ejector exhaust pipe, and chimney petticoat for work on them. There will also be removing the smokebox to saddle bolts in preparation for the eventual boiler lift. The owner of No. 13809 is looking to grow the volunteer team to help with the locomotive. This overhaul will be a joint effort between the 13809 Preservation Society and the Midland Railway Trust, with a dedicated group working on 13809 alongside the running fleet. The unique sole surviving single chimney fitted BR Standard 9F 2-10-0 No. 92134, will be visiting the Bluebell Railway for the very first time for their Giants of Steam from the 16th to 18th of October 2026, where it will star alongside the unique BR Standard 8P Class Pacific No. 71000 "Duke of Gloucester", which will be a fitting pairing as No. 92134 will be reunited with its original tender as when No. 71000 was saved for preservation from Dai Woodham Scrapyard, the original tender from No. 92134 was bought for use with No. 71000 which had lost its own tender to a South Wales Steel Works.
