The overhaul on the ex NCB Kinneil Colliery Andrew Barclay built 0-4-0ST (Works No. 2157) No. 47 "Fambridge", has started to pick up at the Vale of Berkeley Railway as the locomotive has been moved undercover in a tent cover for work to really progress during the winter months ahead.

The ex NCB Kinneil Colliery Andrew Barclay built 0-4-0ST (Works No. 2157) No. 47 "Fambridge", has now left the Swindon & Cricklade Railway, and has relocated to the Vale of Berkeley Railway at Sharpness in Gloucestershire, where its overhaul will continue on there.

The overhaul on ex NCB Kinneil Colliery Andrew Barclay built 0-4-0ST (Works No. 2157) No. 47 "Fambridge" is now underway at the Swindon & Cricklade Railway as the boiler has been lifted for work to begin. The Bristol & Somerset Locomotive Company Limited are appealing for funds to help with the overhaul which details can found on their website and social media.

The ex NCB Kinneil Colliery Andrew Barclay built 0-4-0ST (Works No. 2157) No. 47 "Fambridge" is now being relocated to its new home at the Swindon & Cricklade Railway at Swindon in Wiltshire for a full overhaul and use at the railway there.

The ex NCB Kinneil Colliery Andrew Barclay built 0-4-0ST (Works No. 2157) No. 47 "Fambridge" new owners are the Bristol & Somerset Locomotive Company Limited and the loaction of the locomotive is in Somerset as its overhaul is now underway.

Former NCB Kinneil Colliery Andrew Barclay built 0-4-0ST No. 47 "Fambridge" has been withdrawn from service for its 10 year overhaul with work being carried out on her boiler following a cracked firebox throatplate.

The visit of No. 47 "Fambridge" for the opening of the Leiston Works Railway in Suffolk has had to be cancelled due to a crack in the firebox which repairs are underway.

The ex NCB Kinneil Colliery Andrew Barclay built 0-4-0ST No. 47 "Fambridge" will be visiting the newly open Leiston Works Railway in Suffolk taking the place of "Blue Circle" for the opening weekend on the 1st and 2nd of June 2019. Which will mark the 160 Anniversary of railways in Leiston.

The engine is complete and runs as sweet as a nut. We possibly have 2 more steaming dates for the engine but they are so far not confirmed.  We now also have our own web page designed just for 2157, the link will be added at a later date once I have got the website up and running and operating as it should

Dear all, have just steamed the loco for the first time since overhaul, over late December 2003, The overhaul took 4 1/2 years! she runs like a dream. Just need to paint her for the 2004 season. She will be based at Mangapps Railway museum, but may go out on short term loans from time to time?
