LMS Jinty 0-6-0T No. 47493 is being purchase by the Spa Valley Railway from its current owner to be permently part of their running fleet. As the railway has launched a appeal to raise up to £200,000 to buy the loco and to overhaul it. It is hoped that No. 47493 could be back in steam again in 3 to 4 years time.

This locomotive was brought back into full working order after a 10 year overhaul in March 2004

47493 was back in steam in January 2004.
