The ex Hardman & Holden, Peckett built 0-4-0T (Works No. 1631) No. 12 "Marcia", is visiting the nearby Chatham Historic Dockyard for the May Bank Holiday weekend from the 24th to 26th of May 2025, where she will be hauling trains around their Dockyard railway on demonstration freight trains only.

The ex Hardman & Holden Peckett built 0-4-0T (Works No. 1631) No. 12 "Marcia", is to remain at the Kent & East Sussex Railway as she has been sold to new owners KESR driver Andy Hardy and Rapido Trains UK. The locomotive was up for sale following the previous owner Richard passed away in 2023 and was offered for sale through GW Railwayana Auctions and Berrybrook Steam and Classics in Exeter. Thankfully, the locomotive was sold to its new owners in June 2024.

Having been on hire to the Mid Suffolk Light Railway since the winter of of 2022, ex Hardman & Holden Peckett built 0-4-0T No. 12 "Marcia" is returning home to the Kent & East Sussex Railway.

The former Hardman & Holden Peckett built 0-4-0T No. 12 "Marcia" will visit the Mid Suffolk Light Railway over the Christmas Season to work their Santa Specials and will also prior to that will take part in their Vintage & Bygones Exhibition & Fair on the 27th of November 2022 and after Christmas will be running trains on New Year’s Day at their Steam & Light event.

The former Hardman & Holden Peckett built 0-4-0T No. "Marcia" has returned to steam again at the Kent & East Sussex Railway, following completion of its comprehensive overhaul in late February 2022.

Marcia has been withdrawn from service and is currently having some firebox repairs being done.

Marcia is currently operational. it visited the CFBS and was seen working on 27/4/2013.

This loco is at present in the K&ESR locomotive works at Rolvenden undergoing a rather protracted overhaul.  As it is rather small for hauling passenger trains it hasn't had a high priority but some progress has been made and it will be back in action eventually.
