The overhaul of the Great Central Railways Robertson built 8K or LNER O4 2-8-0 No. 63601 is now underway to return the locomotive to traffic again.

The Great Central Railway Robertson built 8K or LNER O4 2-8-0 No. 63601 is to have a planned overhaul for another 10 year stint in service again. But before the overhaul starts the locomotive will be done up in ROD lettering for display at the Great War, Great Central event at Quorn & Woodhouse station on the weekend of November 10th and 11th 2018.

This loco was parked outside the National Railway Museum on Saturday 10th January 2004. I only saw it from a passing train, so I've no idea if this is a temporary move or is permanent.
