The ex Blackpool Gasworks Peckett built 0-4-0ST No. 1 (Works No. 2111) "Lytham St. Annes" has been the first standard gauge steam locomotive trialing a sustainable coal alternative as it has been fired on rapeseed briquettes and has had some very possitve results.

The ownership of the ex Blackpool Gasworks Peckett built 0-4-0ST No. 1 (Works No. 2111) "Lytham St. Annes" has been tranferred to the Locomotive Conservation and Learning Trust owners of the sole surviving North Eastern Railway C Class or LNER J21 0-6-0 No. 65033. This will see No. 1 "Lytham St. Annes" remain at the Stainmore Railway at Kirkby Stephen in Cumbria as its home as one of their main steam locomotives.

Former Blackpool Gasworks Peckett built 0-4-0ST No. 1 "Lytham St. Annes" has gone on loan to the Stainmore Railway at Kirkby Stephen in Westmoreland on a 12 month hire to them. Where it will be steaming along side bigger sister Peckett 0-4-0ST "F.C.Tingey".

The Peckett built 0-4-0ST "Lytham St. Annes" has just completed its overhaul at the Midland Railway Centre and is due to enter service at there Vintage Trains Weekend at the bank holiday weekend at the end of the month.
