The locomotive "Daphne", donated by Ribble Steam Railway to the North West Transport Museum in St Helens, still stands on the Ribble Steam Railway site (reported 2023). Exact location: 53.757907915552956, -2.7581367687010463 Can be seen on Google Street View (2022).

Former Tytherington Stone Co Peckett built 0-4-0ST "Daphne" has left the Ribble Steam Railway for a new home at North West Museum of Road Transport at St Helens in Merseyside. Where it will be on static display there in a railway section there.

The oldest Peckett in preservation "Daphne" has been put up for sale by the Ribble Steam Railway.

The album photo of Daphne at Tytherington was taken around 1900 - 1910. My guess is nearer to 1901 - based on the facts of the individuals in the photo. Looking closely at the photo I do wonder if it has just been delivered - at front of engine looks like a wooden block.

The people in the photo are: L-R Albert Kingscott, Charlie Livall (yank), George Livall (bum), on the train leaning out Thomas Davis - my great grandfather, child Albert Davis - looks like a girl to me

The Daphne engine that was at Tytherington Quarry. My great grandfather was a driver of Daphine and I have a photograph of her in service, and in better condition than she is now! I can send you the information I have and a photo, if you would like? thank you Stephen Bees

status: stored unservicable. Unfortunately Daphne requires a massive amount of work and is at the bottom of the long restoration queue.
