The location for this engine is incorrect. It is at the National Tramway Museum’s off-store in Clay Cross, Derbyshire, rather than at the museum’s main base in Crich.

Hello, regards the MBRO steam tram loco, this was acquired in 2002 as a steam tram on 10 pallets with a few further parts arriving in 2010. As can be guessed it is in a dismantled state with parts missing and is a long term project. at present the parts are being catalogued and any identification marks noted. From the Stephenson loco journal of October 1956 it states that the loco was assumed to be 84. Fuel used was also most likely coke as tram engines were not allowed to emit smoke. Regards Andy
