The ex Tarmac Roadstone 1873 Black Hawthorn built 0-4-0ST No. 266 "Wellington" has been brought back to the Tanfield Railway having been in storage at the Wensleydale Railway.

The ex Tarmac Roadstone 1873 Black Hawthorn built 0-4-0ST No. 266 "Wellington" has been relocated to the Wensleydale Railway at Leeming Bar in Yorkshire for reasons unknown??

wellighnton is absoultley tiny compared with other locos at the railway. apperantly its tanks could barley hold enough water for one trip!

Wellington returned from Beamish in 2006. It has been out of service since it went to Beamish and it is now having a periodic 10 year overhaul back to working condition
