Hi guys, I was an apprentice electrician @ BSC Selby 1955-61 and your H-C Wissington was temporarily transferred (c.1959 /60)to Selby factory as standby for our regular Ruston Hornsby (1955) 0 6 0 diesel loco (due to 0 4 0 saddle tank being temporarily indisposed). I was transferred to Brigg refinery 1961 and my memory tells me Wiussington was still there. I also happen to have a railway magazine article showing Wissington looking forlorn, sporting a chimney spark arrestor, whilst moored against the buffers back at the Wissington factory (c.1974). Good luck with your restoration Regards, David. (Wantage Oxon. tel 10235 764648)
