Now having been officially sold to the Vale of Rheidol Railway ex Penrhyn Quarry Manning Wardle 1897 built 0-4-0ST Works No. 1382 "Jubilee 1897" restoration is now in full swing as the railway hopes to have her in steam by 2023.

The ex Penrhyn Quarry Manning Wardle 1897 built 0-4-0ST Works No. 1382 "Jubilee 1897" has been bought by the Vale of Rheidol Railway will now be part of their narrow gauge steam fleet.

The Penrhyn Quarry Railway was closed with out notice last month in July. "Jubilee 1897" has had to be moved to the Vale of Rheidol Railway for storage and its now unknown what is to happen to the locomotive next?

There has been news that Jubilee 1897 will be moving to the Penrhyn Quarry Railway where it will be restored to full working order.
