On Sunday of this week No. 9 made it to her 100th birthday.

The locomotive has been out of service before Midwest Old Threshers in 2022 and needs repairs before it can run again.

Once the 2018 operating season is done it will be heading back to Mt. Pleasant, Iowa

No. 9 is now operational, but only in summer, lest the water freezes

Shay 9 is not yet operational, she is currently going through an intense rebuild, including a boiler overhaul. Hopefully she will be operating late this year, but most likely not until next year.

She will be moving to Colorado in the near future for use on the Georgetown Loop Railroad.
