FVS stands for Ferrovia Valle Seriana whose station in Bergamo still bears its initials. The locomotive became their No. 3 but was soon sold and deployed by La Spezia Arsenal, a naval base in the town, as their No. 1.

Ordered by FVS as number 3 (Locos 1 to 3 works numbers 23 to 25) but deemed surplus on delivery and sold to La Spezia Arsenal as their number 1 where it worked until the 1960s
