The ex Stanton Ironworks Avonside built 3ft gauge 0-6-0T No. 1547 "Nancy" is now back home running at the Cavan & Leitrim Narrow Gauge Railway at Dromod in Ireland.

The former Stanton Ironworks Avonside built 3ft gauge 0-6-0T No. 1547 "Nancy" was steamed and moved under its own steam for the very first time today in a number years. This marks the completion of her restoration and the locomotive will soon be moving home to the Cavan and Leitrim Railway in Ireland.

Subject of a stalled restoration this loco will be based at Dromod, Ireland on the Cavan & Leitrim railway once restoration is completed at Alan Keef Ltd in the UK, where it has been stored since 1999. However, a new boiler has been completed and it is hoped that the loco will be back in action in 2018.
