Eudlo is actually an 0-6-0t, not an 0-4-2t as stated

This was the second Fowler steam locomotive ordered by the Moreton Central Sugar Mill. They named it EUDLO. Worked until 1968 on the mills sugar tramways. Then used until 1975 as a stationary boiler at the mill. After failing a boiler inspection was put on display at the mill. The last working steam loco at the mill. When the mill closed in 2003. Moved to the Nambour District Historical Museum. Displayed here in excellent condition. The large exhibits at the museum are behind steel fencing or cages. This is to prevent the street artists daubing the exhibits in spray paint.

The Moreton Central Sugar Mill started crushing sugar cane in 1897. Their tramway was originally horse draw. From 1904 they started purchasing steam locomotives to work the tramway. The tramway expanded to a 70 mile network linking the sugar cane fields to the mill. From 1963 the mill started buying diesel locomotives. Strangely horses worked until 1960 moving empty wagons at the mill. The tramway ran through the main streets of Nambour to the mill. The railway tracks are still embedded in the roads. The mill closed 2003 and later the whole site cleared. Now a modern shopping mall stands in its place.
