Ownership: BT1 was owned and operated by the Inkerman Mill, operating under the name Adelaide. In 1966 the loco was withdrawn from service and donated to the Shire of Ayr and plinth-ed at a playground in a local park in Home Hill. In 1990, Malcolm Thompson (a W.A. Light Railway Preservation Association member) purchased the locomotive and renamed it after his wife Betty. BT1 entered service on the Bennett Brook Railway on the 14th of September in 1996. In 1997, BT1 passed into the ownership of the Bennett Brook Railway after Malcolm Thompson passed-away. BT1 is currently operational. BT1 is 2 ft. (610 mm) gauge.

It worked the sugar tramway at Inkerman mill, located at town of Home Mill, Queensland. Not sure when it stopped working. I believe it had moved to Western Australia by 1990. 1996 was in operation at Bennent Brook Railway, now named BETTY THOMPSON. Has been well used on the railway. Now under going a complete overhaul
